International Awards

In her second year at Art College in London, Barbara won her first major international competition. The Diamonds International Award. Barbara went on to become one of only two people in Great Britain to have ever been awarded this prestigious accolade on three occasions.

To win a Diamonds International Award, designs from South and North America are sent to New York, European participants send their designs to London. Asia and Australia to Tokyo. 300 designs are chosen from each region. All the designs are sent to London, where judges are flown in from different Countries, who finally choose the Diamonds International Award winners, usually 20 designs. The piece must then be made and after the presentation of awards the pieces tour the world with a major exhibition in each country.

Great experience choosing my Girlfriend (now Fiance) engagement ring. Barbara provided a selection of diamonds for me to choose from which made the whole process feel special and personal. Unfortunately I guessed Fiona's finger size incorrectly. But after the proposal we dropped the ring back in and Barbara's husband resized it whilst we went off for a coffee. Excellent Service! Thank you Barbara and team for making this important purchase less stressful for me.

Thankyou for the beautiful lioness cuff and lucky pebble with lioness and diamond. They looked impressive on your website but the quality , value and workmanship are more exceptional in reality. A big thankyou to you all for your professionalism and patience during our long distance communication. Nothing was too diificult! Lions are my wife's favourite animal so she loves the pieces. Looking forward to dealing with Barbara Tipple Goldsmiths in the future.

What an amazing experience to start a design from scratch and see the end piece come together so beautifully. Knowing I played a part in the process made it extra special.
