Night and Day

The transcendent night and day collection is the most diverse collection created by Barbara Tipple. Barbara wanted to create a versatile piece of jewellery which was able to be worn from day into the night. The night and day collection consists of cosmos-inspired pendant necklaces and diamond earrings which are handmade in 18ct yellow and blackened gold to make each design a statement piece in your personal collection.   

The night and day collection boasts an array of handmade designs. The largest piece in the range is the Night and Day locket. A fully reversible locket, with an incredibly intricate design hand-carved on both sides. On the night side, the locket has been skilfully textured with a mystical rock-like pattern, hand-carved in blacked 18ct gold highlighted with brilliant white diamond ‘stars’ hand set into the surface. On the reverse of the locket is the day side, a miniature masterpiece created in 18ct yellow gold. A hand-carved dragon entwined with the aurora of the sun's rays fierce fully protecting the finest quality yellow diamonds set in the centre.  

This locket is hand-made by our master goldsmith in chief, David Ward. Using the finest quality materials, the locket is forged and carved using traditional techniques here in our British workshops. Smaller pendants from the collection are also fully reversible, some are set with a single fine quality yellow diamond and others with the finest white diamonds. Making each pendant from the night and day collection truly one of a kind.  

The earrings have also been designed and made to create two different looks from one pair of earrings. The night and day earrings are also fully reversible, hand made in 18ct yellow and blackened gold these versatile earrings will make a statement whichever way you choose to wear them. Hanging on a detachable 18ct yellow gold hook you will have the option to remove the moonstone earring and rotate to either night or day side. Or they can even be worn alternating for an unusual, one of a kind look for a special occasion.  

Each night and day piece is handmade in-house by our talented craftsmen and master goldsmith. Barbara’s master goldsmiths are some of the most talented craftsmen in the country and have worked closely alongside Barbara to create her award-winning designs. They have the knowledge and skill to handcraft designs in metals and materials that have pushed the boundaries of jewellery design.
